Chicken Keeping

Basic Chicken Keeping

From chick care to egg production, learn the basics that will make chicken keeping more enjoyable. Taught by the owner or an experienced team member, this class utilizes a slide show and hands on approach that has proven highly successful for our students. 

Pre-registration is appreciated but not required. Tuition is $10 per adult (children under 16 free). One adult is free with the purchase of A Chicken In Every Yard, the Urban Farm Store’s very own guide to chicken keeping. Bring your copy (or purchase in store) as proof of purchase and to follow along because it serves as our textbook for the class.

Classes usually run 1 1/2 hours and we are always happy to answer questions.
